Battle-Fronts and Boredom

Don't be afraid of failure- Virtuous Leadership

We each are given just one shot at life, as Gary Vaynerchuk says, "one at-bat," and too many people aren't living life like that particularly matters or that they're even aware of it. Now there are lots of reasons why that can be, and I'm not passing judgement on anybody here for that. What I'm saying is that we are steeped in an environment of smallness, of pusillanimity, when we busy ourselves with meaningless junk, when we hold on to petty things and political vitriol. We need to break the cycle.

You've got one life. One at-bat. You're gunna die. If that's not motivation to stop and reflect on your priorities and where you spend your time, I don't know what is. I believe that every human being recognized in their heart of hearts that they were made for something more. The battle of our day is to help people realize that, and then act on it.

There is a real battle. Right here. Right now. I am convinced that when we push against the darkness that hangs over so much of what society does and thinks these days, when we really help someone to see the diamond inside each person that needs to be discovered and refined, then we can achieve amazing results. So I'm gunna call you out. Right here, right now. And if I see you on the street, I'm gunna follow up with you. You know you're made to accomplish great things. So I want you to go out and work to achieve real greatness by bringing out the greatness in others. Right where you live and work and socialize. Right here. Right now.
