Humility & Self-Awareness
Humility - the habit of authentic service, and prerequisite of empathy - begins with simple self-awareness. I can't stress how important this is.
Most everything we do that's rude, out of place, losing your temper or caving to peer pressure is most of the time due to a profound lack of self-awareness: what's going on around us... inside of us... what we're good at... and what we're not.
If you really cultivate the habit of self-awareness, starting with basic mindfulness/awareness of what's going on around you and inside you, then you're on your way to the humility and magnanimity that are the essence of virtuous leadership. Without that basic self-awareness, you lack the solid foundation to create something truly great.
Of course, now it's up to you what you're going to do with it.
